Who PostMoney is for.
PostMoney turns founder updates into reviewed, reportable portfolio intelligence, priced so a small fund can say yes without a sales call: $99 to $299 a month, published on the site. This atlas defines the ten buyer profiles worth knowing, ranks them, and prices the cost of winning each one.
The product
One paragraph before the profiles
Updates and documents come in, including plain email replies from founders. AI extraction pulls the metrics with evidence attached, a human reviews and confirms, and the result is company dashboards, governed KPI history, and organization-wide reports a fund can put in front of LPs. Every number stays traceable to its source, and gaps are shown honestly instead of papered over.
The wedge: transparent, self-serve, entry-priced, and honest about data quality, in a market where 23 of 29 tracked vendors hide pricing behind a demo call.
All assumptions and formulas are on the Economics page. Everything here is a pre-launch estimate, labeled as such.
The roster
Ten profiles, three tiers
P0 · Beachhead
Emerging micro-VC
Fund I or II, $10-80M, 1-3 investors, 15-40 companies, no ops hire yet.
Acute LP-reporting pain, priced out of Standard Metrics, reachable in dense communities. LTV $7,648 · CAC ≤ $2,549
Solo GP
One general partner, $5-50M personal-brand fund, does everything alone.
Perfect self-serve fit; only cheap channels pencil at $135 ARPA. LTV $3,564 · CAC ≤ $1,188
Boutique seed firm
Fund II-IV, $50-250M, 2-6 investors, 30-70 active companies, real LP base.
Highest willingness to pay of the P0s; every channel pencils. LTV $14,352 · CAC ≤ $4,784
P1 · Expand
Family office
Direct venture program, 1-4 investment staff, 8-25 positions, scattered email updates.
Top-three LTV and price-insensitive, but hard to reach and slow to trust. LTV $9,552 · CAC ≤ $3,184
Angel syndicate
SPV lead on AngelList or Sydecar, 10-30 deals, large passive LP base, pays out of pocket.
Huge segment, instant buying, but lowest willingness to pay and highest churn risk. LTV $3,660 · CAC ≤ $1,220
Accelerator / studio
Cohort programs tracking 50-150+ companies with a small program staff.
Highest LTV of all ten via overage pricing; the catch is missing cohort features. LTV $17,960 · CAC ≤ $5,987
P2 · Opportunistic
Small CVC
1-3 person corporate venture arm, 10-30 positions, reports to a CFO.
Good economics, but procurement makes $199/mo self-serve awkward. LTV $7,960
University / evergreen
University or evergreen seed fund reporting to a board, 20-40 positions.
Sticky once landed; small market, committee-speed buying. LTV $11,160
Venture debt / RBF
Lender monitoring 15-40 borrowers via monthly financials, contractually.
Real budget, but covenant tooling is unbuilt and Lumonic owns the niche. LTV $7,648
Fund services provider
Fractional CFO or fund-ops firm producing LP reports for several small funds.
One relationship, many funds: referral partners first, customers second. LTV $7,894
Why these three first. The P0 pain is acute and unserved: too big for spreadsheets, priced out of Standard Metrics, and Visible's investor tiers are demo-gated. The price fits self-serve economics: at $99-$449 a month these are Christoph Janz's "rabbits," won by product and content, not sales teams. And they pass the beachhead test: we can name 100 accounts, and they talk to each other in dense emerging-manager communities where a good tool travels by referral.
Who we do not sell to. Institutional PE and growth equity (Chronograph and Vestberry buyers), large multi-stage platforms with internal data teams, founders (wrong side of the update), LP-portal-only buyers, and fund admins who want a suite. Reasoning on the Methodology page.
